I am not convinced this is the right driver for a CT4740 Soundblaster 16 AudioPCI card. It only partially installed properly and the card did not work. I recommend you try a different driver. I went to the creative Labs website and downloadedSBAudioSetupW9x.zip which DID recognize the card install properly and provided sound after a reboot.
