Solution If the driver setup doesn't runselect uninstall from device manager after uninstalled restart let the system detect scanner again if system opens wizard cancel it open device manager select scanner properties and upgrade driver if you can't find scanner from device manager try searching something VID..... from device manager. After upgrade is completed set HP precision to run in Windows 2000 compatibility mode. Scanner should start working but windows may say in controlpanel that scanner is not available.If windows doesn't detect scanner then you have to delete following keys from registryHKEYLOCALMACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumLPTENUMVID...and HKEYLOCALMACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumUSBVID...and restart computer.

What program do i open it with once its downloaded

Tried it on etower 566i2 Emachines. It said installed on system window but no sound. Don't know where to look. That is for win98. Maybe there is some module missing Would appreciate having some feed backSetup program locked up. Attempt at manual installation reported missing .VXD file.

No joy under Windows 2000 using any of these. Or the one from Genius themselves.Ho hum. Looks like I'll have to go back to Window NT4.
